A tour of the dashboard

Last updated October 1, 2026 For: Anyone at a church who signs in to the SermonWave dashboard

On this page

The SermonWave dashboard at dashboard.sermonwave.com is where you set up devices, follow services and find past sermons. This article explains what each part of the screen is for.

Who it's for#

Everyone who signs in: pastors, tech volunteers and church staff. Some screens only work for Org Admins. That's noted below.

Before you start#

  • Sign in at dashboard.sermonwave.com. Don't have a login yet? Ask your church's Org Admin, or create an account.

On a phone, tap the menu button to open the same list.

Home#

  • A getting-started checklist for new churches. Items check themselves off as you finish them: church profile, logo, a device, your first session, a QR code and inviting a team member.
  • This Week's Listeners, Total Listeners and Active Devices.
  • Recent Recordings, with each service's date, length, listeners and languages.
  • A Listener Map, Languages Served and Listener Activity.
  • A LIVE NOW banner while a service is being translated, with a View button.

Events#

Every recorded service becomes an event with its recording, transcript, summary and translations. Switch between Calendar and List views. Search by meaning: type something like "the sermon about patience". The Weekly Schedule shows your upcoming services, based on the service times in your church profile.

Open an event to read the transcript, check translations, change its title, or set it to Public, Unlisted or Private. See Your sermon archive and Share sermons.

Devices#

A card for each device shows whether it's online and recording. From here, Org Admins can Add web device and Connect OBS. Click a card for its Live view, Settings and Activity. See Set up a web device, Set up your SW1, Device settings and Live monitoring.

Short links and QR codes that open your listener page, a single service or a specific language. Download them as PNG or PDF for bulletins and slides. See Share your QR code.

Library#

Search and filter all your recordings by topic, scripture, type and date. Search understands meaning, not just exact words.

Manage#

Org Admins see four tabs:

Users with the User role see a "no permission" message here.

The right side of the header#

  • Bell: notifications, for example when a sermon has finished processing. Click Mark all read to clear them.
  • ? (help menu):
    • Show me around this page starts a short guided tour of the screen you're on.
    • Setup guide reopens the step-by-step setup.
    • Preview the listener page shows what your congregation sees.
    • Email the SermonWave team opens an email to support.
  • Profile menu:
    • Profile: your name, email, photo and password.
    • Settings: language, theme, timezone and the church logo. See Organization settings.
    • Logout.

The plan banner#

A bar at the top of the page tells you about your plan when something needs attention. For example, "Free trial: 5 days left", or that a payment failed. It has a button such as Upgrade, Choose a plan or Update card. While more than 3 days of your trial are left, you can close the banner for a while. See Plans and your free trial.

Troubleshooting#

I don't see Manage, or it says I don't have permission. Your login has the User role. Ask an Org Admin.

Buttons on the Devices screen are missing or greyed out. Adding devices and changing device settings is for Org Admins.

The dashboard is in the wrong language or time zone. Change it under Settings. These settings only affect your own login.

A screen looks empty. New churches have no events or listeners yet. Run your first service and the screens fill in.

FAQ#

Is there a mobile app?#

No app is needed. The dashboard works in a phone browser, and the menu folds into a button on small screens.

Can I replay the guided tour?#

Yes. Click ? → Show me around this page on any screen.

When will Reports be available?#

Reports is still being built. Until then, use Home for listener numbers and Events for each service's details.
